About Art Sparks

"Backing the roots "
Our country is one of the oldest civilizations as we all know, and on this land we have seen great archeological finds.
Rich in history and art, as the years go by we have drifted away from our roots to a certain extent.

At Art Sparks we make a conscious attempt to hold on to our beautiful arts from different parts across India and collectively present the handmade products under one roof.

Handicraft as we relate to something traditional, at Art Sparks we offer the handmade products with a contemporary touch which blends in well with the modern homes and lifestyle.

Pottery, soft furnishings, gift articles, metal artefacts, indoor and outdoor decor, lights and stationary, natural materials furniture, all made with hands by skilled artisans who have been continuing the art from generations and adapting to the modern tastes.

Traditional is not boring, here we also teach various arts and crafts for self exploration or to start your own business, learn to the level of good finishing and tips and techniques for making it salable.

Meghna Dalwadi

The seeds of Art Sparks were sown in Meghna Dalwadi’s childhood, when she would visit her masi’s shop, Contemporary Arts and Crafts (CAC) — a beautiful space filled with handmade, eco-friendly items from across India. The vibrant textures, natural materials, and artisanal charm left a lasting impact on her. Inspired by everything she saw, young Meghna would come home and create her own little treasures - from scrap materials, bits of nature, and everyday items - turning them into meaningful handmade gifts. The joy of creating and sharing stayed with her.

Though she went on to study commerce and law and worked in a BPO for a while, Meghna knew that her heart truly belonged to the world of art and craft. So she decided to follow her passion. She pursued fashion and textile designing, explored the world of handmade artistry, and participated in exhibitions that reconnected her with artisans from all over India. In October 2013, Meghna launched Art Sparks - a space that brings together creativity, sustainability, and community. Her vision was to create more than just a store; she wanted a place where art lives, breathes, and inspires.

Coming from a family deeply rooted in clay - her father ran a brick manufacturing business and her uncle a ceramics factory - Meghna has always felt a strong bond with the earth. She travelled across India - from Kutch to Goa to Karnataka - to study and master the art of wheel pottery. Today, her pottery studio is an integral part of Art Sparks. Her journey with teaching began early - right from her school days, she conducted classes for kids using clay, paper, beads, and natural materials. Even then, she sold her handmade products, driven purely by passion.
