About Ahmedabad Ballet School - Centre For Dance And Arts
At Ahmedabad Ballet School (ABS), every student follows a carefully structured schedule designed to build both skill and understanding. For Ballet, we emphasize the traditional, old-school technique system, where discipline is paramount, reflecting the classical nature of the art form. For Kathak, Contemporary, and Aerial arts, our approach remains equally rigorous, focusing on developing strong practical performance skills.
Beyond practice, we ensure that students are well-informed theoretically, because we believe that mastering any dance form requires both practical expertise and a solid understanding of its theory. At ABS, every class is crafted to nurture technical excellence, performance readiness, and intellectual appreciation of the art.
We start taking admissions from 4 years old kids in Ballet, 20 years and above for kathak, 15 years and above for contemporary.
Dipak Prajapati and Bhoomiti Prajapati
Dipak Prajapati (DIRECTOR) is a trained dancer in Classical Ballet and Modern Contemporary, with professional training under Ms. Pia Sutaria and Yehuda Maor at The Danceworx, Mumbai. For the past 11 years, he has been actively teaching ballet in Ahmedabad, contributing significantly to the growth of structured ballet education in the city. Alongside teaching, he is deeply committed to building a disciplined, ethical, and professionally managed foundation for Ahmedabad Ballet School.
Bhoomiti Prajapati (ARTISTIC DIRECTOR) is a trained Kathak dancer and educator, having received training under Kadam Parikh, Nilima Thakrar, Rohit Parihar, and Ishira Parikh. For the past three years, she has been teaching Kathak with a strong focus on body conditioning, integrating strength, flexibility, and movement awareness into classical training. She is also trained in Ballet, Aerial Arts, and Modern Contemporary, which enriches her approach to dance education and allows her to offer a holistic, well-rounded training experience.
